Norris Master #77 Fantail Blue and White Porcelain With Wall Mount bracket, locks and keys. Here it is folks, I hope to see another one of these in my life time. The crown jewel, a 1¢/5¢ penny/nickel blue and white porcelain master 77 fantail. Strong 9/10 stars on this incredible example.
This machine has been disassembled, cleaned, and polished...... Functions great with pennies and nickels, they dont get much better than this! The blue and white case is one of the rarest colors produced by Norris and commands a premium on any machine let alone a fantail. This case still has the factory installed base plate to the rest of the case. The original rivets can be seen in the photo with the coin door removed. If the base was not original I would have put a flawless white porcelain base on it.
The fantail mechanism itself is quite complex for its age, it has a combination of slug detectors and anti cheat devices, see pictures of the mechanism with the cover off and the description in the silent salesman too book on the last picture of this listing. There is a portion/bulk vending wheel in this machine, this allowed the owner/operator to adjust the serving size and maximize profits between service calls. This machine comes with one key for each lock, the lid has a screw lock, the coin door has a cam lock which is typical for a gooseneck but a very low production feature only offered on fantails and early goosenecks.
The wall mount bracket is original and also has a lock and key to secure the machine in the bracket when its mounted to the wall. Its a neat accessory that seldom comes to market for masters......... A nice feather in the cap with this amazing piece. Here are the notable flaws for the sake of disclosure, please ask for more pictures if specifics are desired. Some minor cracking/chips to the white porcelain. All wear is consistent with age of the machine. The lid and base are white with chips to the rim of the lid and the top layer of porcelain at the bottom of the chute casting. On one side of the case there is a black mark on the blue porcelain at the bottom near the base. I do not know what this mark is, it appears to be porcelain and retains the sheen as shown in pictures, all flaws are visible in pictures, please use these as part of the description. If you have questions, need clarification, or would like to discuss this beautiful machine at all, reach out and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
