Pair Chinese Porcelain Prunus Ginger Jars Blue White Glaze with Red Enamel Qing They are just under 7 inches tall, and about 6 1/2 inches wide. They weigh about 1.178kg and 1.032kg Blue and white prunus decorated ginger jars with additional enamel decoration, are unusual. In this case, both have been highlighted with red enamel glaze. Made in China during the Qing Dynasty. Probably 19th Century (1800's), possibly earlier. Both are in very good condition. The only flaw I can find is one has what looks like a glaze dribble on its rim. From a distance this looks like a crack, but up close, and under mangification, this is a glaze dribble that ran down both side of the rim - likely when it was refired in the kiln when adding the additional colours.
