Vintage German ERNA Blue and Off White Ceramic Six Canister Set

The canisters are not white white in color. The canisters are painted in the delft style with a windmill scene on the front and sailboats on two sides. The lids have two sailboats as well.

ERNA and Germany are noted on the bottom of each canister. The six canisters are the same size. Approximate measurements of each canister: 7 1/2 inches tall with lid; 6 1/8 inches tall without lid; 4 1/4 inches wide and 4 1/4 inches deep. Each canister holds approximately 52 fluid ounces (6 1/2 cups).

The lids just lay on top of each canister loosely and do not have a tight fit. All photos were taken with a flash. Some of my photos will show the camera flash especially the two interior photos. The vintage canister set is in good used condition.

FLOUR CANISTER-significant crazing; stains in interior bottom mostly in the corners; several burst glazing bubbles; small glob of ceramic material in the interior; approximate 1/4' x 1/4 chip on bottom left front unglazed raised corner; roughness and slight bluish stain on lower left exterior side feels like someone ran their thumb across the ceramic before painting and glazing; surface wear and discoloration on the bottom unglazed raised corners and no leakage. RICE CANISTER-significant crazing; severals blue paint specks; several pits in the glaze; several burst glazing bubbles in the interior; stains in the interior; no cracks; shallow chip or paint flake on top rim; surface wear and discoloration on the bottom unglazed raised corners and no leakage. OATMEAL CANISTER-significant crazing; roughness along top inside edge; several pits in glaze; stains in the interior (mostly in the corners); approximate one inch hairline crack near the top of the canister (crack does not penetrate the ceramic); approximate 1/8" x 1/8" chip near bottom edge; two large hairline cracks on the bottom exterior; surface wear and discoloration on the bottom unglazed raised corners; and no leakage.

TEA CANISTER-significant crazing; several blue paint specks; couple of burst glazing bubbles; stains in the bottom interior (mostly in the corners); left upper exterior corner has a chipped area that was painted and glazed over; bottom interior has two large hairline cracks; bottom exterior has one large hairline crack; surface wear and discoloration on the bottom unglazed raised corners; and no leakage. The painted trees on the front of this canister are painted somewhat differently than the other five canisters. The canisters are all from the same set, however. All of the six lids have significant crazing; with beige stains (these are noticeable) and beige stains along the glaze crazed lines (these are noticeable); there is slight yellowing of the glaze; there are burst glazing bubbles and/or pits in the glaze; there are blue paint specks and smears and no cracks.
