Ancient 1736 1795 Chinese Porcelain Qianlong Mark Blue & White Dragon Bowl
QIANLONG MARK (1736-95) BLUE AND WHITE IMPERIAL DRAGON DISH / BOWL. For your consideration is this extremely outstanding blue and white Chinese dish/bowl. A six character Qianlong mark to base.
Qianlong was the emperor of the Qing Dynasty, running from 1736-95. A large extremely well-painted dish, a single horned Imperial'five-clawed' Dragon amidst an elegant foliage of lotus and petals, encircled by 4 other dragons and a lappet border of foliage surrounding the inner circle (some of the border painting lines has rubbed off, see pictures). Hand-painted in an extremely exceptional Ming style, with traditional blue and white cobalt colors. From what I have seen online, this is a later piece dating to the 19th/20th century, I encourage you to use your own judgment in dating as I make no guarantees in dating. Winged Imperial Dragons are exceptionally rare on Chinese porcelain pieces, especially at such exceptional levels of detail.
