Rare Japanese piece back from late 17th century to early 18th century. Condition: Piece in rare excellent condition, one thing to mention - minor/slight paint loss on top rim "copper ring". Please inspect pictures closely when "zoomed in". As for today just four similar bowls recorded in existence on a global scale, this one is 5th.Nothing similar on private Japanese porcelain collectors hands. A little bit of background on this piece. Similar one (in very poor condition) on exhibition at Ashmolean museum since 1978 - Ashmolean object reference link below. Gift to Ashmolean Museum from famous person and collector - Gerald Reitlinger.Another two similar pieces are preserved at "Burghley House", both pieces been on display for some time. I was not able to take a real look at them two as they are preserved and i was not able to make arrangement to take a look at them. Measures unknown & condition unknown.
