Chinese blue and white ovoid jar, Kangxi (1662 - 1722), decorated with four panels alternately enclosing scholars objects on a table with a jardieniere and baskets of flowers divided by stylised cellular bands with florets, the shoulders with ruyi-shaped lappets decorated with scrolling lotus, the foot also with ruyi-shaped foliate lappets, height: 13 1/2in. ; condition: good, minor firing crack to base.
